Towards a clean beautiful Perunthalaiyur

Megalaya's Mawlynnong is the cleanest village of Asia. We want to replicate this in Erode district. Perunthalaiyur is a local body having 500 houses with 1500 population. It has 9 wards. It lies in 3 sq kms. It has a good potentiality to become a model village of Tamil Nadu. It has got an aqueduct, river side ancient temples. A serene pebble paved Bhavani river circles around the village. Ornamented by paddy fields separated from the city, it will woo tourists if projected well. To begin with a handy unit, on 26-1-24 we started cleaning Seraiyampalayam 7^th ward. The president of the panchayath Mr. Bhoopathy and the ward member Mr. Shanmugam presided the initiative. The ethical education course students are campaigning daily. We planned to uplift the maintenance of the crematorium area and the ladies toilet. We have also planned to help the waste management and going to paint and draw arts on the walls. Installing beautiful street lights and planting flowering plants are things to come. We have more in our list.
