Accepting bribe for voting and lack of awareness about the contestants are menace to the democracy. A voter should vote with inner conscience and he should pursue to know well about all the contestants of his constituency. Our ethical education students are campaigning in and around Erode among public placing the above principles with a special concern over the first-time voters. It is a one-month plan.  Their campaign is intense at the Perunthalaiyur Panchayath. They joined hands with the Erode District Election commission. Oral announcements by autorickshaw, writing on roads, placing hoardings, door to door word by mouth campaign, Sticking notices “like we won’t accept bribe in this house” are some notable activities. Approaching the parities, candidates, Panchayath president, Ward members to stress honest voting are some other notable moves. They are pleading to all the voters of the panchayath to give a written assurance that they won’t accept bribe. The polling station of this area will be made as a model one. An ornamental arch will be erected declaring that this panchayath is moving towards a honest election. They are committed to make Perunthalaiyur as the bench mark of a fair election.
