Election campaign victory tower

After the 2024 Lok Sabha election was over and the results were out Yaan foundation have erected a victory tower at Perunthalayur, Erode as promised. Earlier the Yaan students group who ran this campaign have conducted a survey and enquired about the number of people who accepted bribe for voting. They learnt that the attempt was successful. Over 70% of the voters refused to accept bribe. Hence we erected a victory tower marking the success of a honest democracy. The felicitation function was conducted on 21.7.24 at Perunthalaiyur. It was presided by Anthiyur MLA Mr KG Venkatachalam. Mr VP Gunasekaran and Writer Jayamohan graced the event. A group of public from Jakkar palayam attended this function and assured to do it at their village. The students believe that this will spread over to other villages.
