Empowering Futures Through Education

At Yaan, education to the underprivileged has always been the heart of mission. For many years, we have been supporting undergraduate students through scholarships covering not just their tuition fees but also hostel and transportation expenses. We have about 120 students on our rolls receiving scholarship at any point in time.

Our vision goes beyond the needed financial aid. We believe true empowerment lies in holistic development, nurturing every student to grow in both academically as well as with life skills. Starting this year, we are placing a special focus on supporting students from Sri Lankan refugee camps and Tribal communities. We have onboarded 40 students this year through a holistic process, and placed them across selective 4 colleges as per their choice of courses.

We stay closely connected with these students throughout their academic journey. Our team meets the students regularly, listens to their aspirations, and offers guidance to help them stay on track towards their career goals. To achieve this, the colleges selected work in collaboration with an independent skill development institute and impart necessary job oriented and life skills.

Through these tie-ups, our scholars gain access to:

Personal growth programs that build confidence and self-awareness
Interpersonal skills training to help them connect and communicate effectively
Career readiness workshops to prepare them for a brighter future
