Medical camp at Bargur

A medical camp was successfully conducted on 14 December 2025 at Thamarakkarai Government Higher Secondary School, providing essential healthcare services to the local community. The camp received an excellent response, with more than 300 patients attending and benefiting from the medical services offered.

Special attention was given to the eye care (ophthalmology) department during the camp. A total of 103 individuals underwent eye examinations. Among them, 15 patients were identified for cataract surgery and were referred to Arasan Eye Hospital, Erode, where arrangements were made for further treatment. In addition, 28 patients selected spectacles based on the doctors’ recommendations.

Apart from eye care services, several patients were examined for other medical conditions and were referred to various hospitals for advanced treatments, ensuring continued medical support beyond the camp.

The medical camp was successfully supported by 22 students from our IAS Academy located in Perundalai, who actively participated and contributed to the smooth conduct of the event through their dedicated volunteer service.

Overall, the medical camp played a vital role in promoting community health and showcased the collective efforts of healthcare professionals, volunteers, and Erode central rotery in delivering quality medical care to those in need.
