Promoting Folk Art: Yaan Foundation Supports Jakkarpalayam Sikkattam Kalai Kuzhu

Yaan Foundation has proudly extended its support to the Jakkarpalayam Kadalpura Sikkattam Kalai Kuzhu, a passionate folk art group dedicated to preserving the traditional Sikkattam Kalai, from Jakkarpalayam village in Sirukalanthai Panchayat.

Sikkattam Kalai is a vibrant and energetic rural art form that reflects the rhythm, color, and unity of the community. It carries deep cultural values and showcases the creative spirit of local artists.

On its vision of promoting folk arts and empowering local talents, 15 members of Sikkattam Kalai from Jakkarpalayam AD Colony were provided with custom design shirts and pants for their performances. The same attire will be used for multiple future programs in various cultural events.

This gesture is a token of appreciation from Yaan Foundation to the dedication of rural artists who strive to keep our tradition alive through their art.
